I follow a Facebook group made up primarily of folks who own bro-dozers*, jeeps, and other off-road capable vehicles. They’re currently holding a profile photo contest and everyone is posting photos of their trucks covered in sand or mud. I’m tempted to post a photo of Jelly Bean with the caption, “She’s small, but fierce.”

*They’re actually a really awesome group of people. If anyone in the region (about 1,000 square miles) gets stranded in the muck on a muddy country road, or out on the beach, etc. and puts out a bat signal to these guys on Facebook, someone will respond and tow them out. For free.

I actually just washed it last weekend because it was coated in salt spray. Not looking forward to mucking it up again so soon.

And, TBH, I actually do take it onto the beach all the time. And onto some tidal flats. I don’t go into the powder soft stuff, but it can handle wave-packed wet sand well enough.

Ironically, I used to live in Corpus and hated the beach, well I hated about everything when I lived there. Plus I’d hate for the M3 to be filled with sand, or get coated in salt spray.

And is that an expired safety inspection sticker, or is it an old photo?

I can’t make out the dates, but they did away with stickers in March of 2015. So since you had two on there, I knew it was either an old photo or you were riding around like I was for a while with an expired sticker. Since I didn’t have to do my registration until September and I sold the car in July, I never got it renewed.

You have to post a pic of it saying small but fierce, but make sure you show the articulation by driving the wheel closest to the camera over a small rock.
